Overclock, the first independent cyber security laboratory of Iran
Overclock Cyber Security Laboratory is one of the research and development units of Overclock Scientific Research Group, which started its activity independently since 2009. This laboratory was founded by Behzad Qasemi and is located in the Innovation Center of Overclock located in Shemiranat.

This laboratory is active in the field of cyber future research, malware analysis and providing solutions to deal with cyber threats. Among the activities and reports of Overclock was the prediction of a cyber attack on fuel supply infrastructure (pumps) in 1400. Overclock Laboratory is a member of the Cyber Research Working Group of the Research Unit of Ilia University, Georgia
Behzad Qasemi, the founder and spokesperson of this center, has mentioned in several programs that this center started to operate independently from the beginning and will continue to operate with the same policy.
The joint research of Overclock Lab and the Cyber Research Center of Harvard University for the analysis of decentralized malware on the platform of blockchain networks is one of the prominent researches of this Cyber Security Science Research Center. Also, Overclock scientific research group is the founder of the non-profit Tehran Summer Code educational camp, which is held annually in Tehran under the Google Summer Code standard.

In its latest research, Overclock's cyber security laboratory announced 2024 as the year of increased cyber attacks on governments

New research by the Overclock cyber security laboratory showed that cyber attacks on world governments have increased in the first few months of 2023.
In a recently published study by Overclock Labs, the lab analyzed 924 major cyber incidents that occurred between 2006 and the first quarter of 2023. The analysis of these statistics has shown that during this period, at least 722 cyber attacks have been carried out against government organizations. However, prior to 2020, government agencies reported an average of 29 cyber attacks per year. After 2020, the number of attacks increased to an annual average of 96. Almost half of the 924 major events analyzed occurred in the past three years. Oftentimes, malicious agents have started their attack with social engineering and ended with malware or ransomware attacks. However, these attacks have sometimes been misrepresented by information campaigns and media outlets.
